After watching my first race I was hooked on auto racing. I loved the speed, daring, competition and adventure that motor sports appeared to be.  I have had a life long interest and passion for motorsports . Growing up in Washington, D.C. area I didn’t have alot of exposure to organized auto racing. Mostly a bit of dirt bike riding and alot of illegal street racing. In high school I heard  about Summit Point Raceway in near by-god West Virginia and attended the SCCA races there. During college my friends and I would load up all the beer we could afford and trek north to Watkins Glen International. The summer sports car races and fall Grand Prix gave me my first exposure to big time auto racing. Later in the mid-80′s I joined a Formula Atlantic team as a crew member and we contested SCCA pro and amateur events. I continued on for a few years but eventually lost interest and drifted away from active participation in the sport. I remained a fan and loved to go to races as a spectator  and take photos. What I really wanted to do was become a race driver and compete on the track. I enrolled in the Skip Barber Race School in 2005 and competed in the Skip Barber Regional Race Series over the next 3 years. Although I was a little late to the party, I found that others my age also still had the desire and need to be challenged that only racing a fast car would provide.  If nothing else I understood more about what my racing heroes had to deal with. But of course I wanted more. Ah…the roar of the crowd as I made a daring pass (not that I could hear them), that was racing! In 2007 I drove in my first professional event at VIR in the Grand-Am Koni Challenge Series. In 2008 I raced at Daytona, Lime Rock, Watkins Glen in the Koni Series. 2009 was a lean year for my budget so I was limited to a few outings in the Skip Barber Series at Lime Rock and Road America. 2010 I continued in Skip Barber and also a few short track oval races in a INEX Legends car  at nearby ODS. 2011 I contested the VIR Continental Tire series race at VIR with Pirate Motorsports and the New Jersey event with Raceworks.  2012 I will race at Daytona with Caban Motorsports and later at Watkins Glen and Indianapolis. I hope to continue racing in the Grand Am ranks as long as I am able to raise the support necessary. My goals are GT racing both here and, someday, at the classic tracks in Europe.

My other interests are photography and writing about racing so the website will provide an outlet for those endeavors. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, advice, critique, cash offers, or to say hi.
